After a successful bond election held in November 2016, the Ganado ISD began construction of two new schools, costing approximately $20 million, to replace aging school buildings. The project was fraught with issues, and the Leon | Alcala team ultimately filed suit on behalf of the school district to seek damages for design and construction defects. The District has reached a full and final settlement of its suit, recovering a total of more than $6.4 million in settlement funds with which it intends to make needed repairs to the facilities.
