The One Big Beautiful Bill Act, signed into law in 2025, ushered in the Federal Tax Credit Scholarship program, aimed at facilitating private school choice. However, the tax credit program does not limit eligibility to private-school students. The program is scheduled to begin January 1, 2027, and Governor Abbott has announced that Texas is opting in to the program. Join LAMR for our review of what the scholarship dollars may be used for, who is eligible to receive scholarships under the program, and how these dollars could help families in your District.
