ELECTIONS AND REDISTRICTING

Attorneys of the Firm are versed in the redistricting and demographic issues associated with school boundary changes. Partner Sara Leon has previous experience with redistricting after the 2000 and 2010 U.S. census. After the 2020 census, Sara Leon and attorney Mackenzie Walters performed the redistricting required to rebalance trustee districts in dozens of local election systems across the state. For prior years, all plans submitted to the Department of Justice were pre-cleared without objection. For school districts rebalanced after the 2020 census, our clients were able to enjoy a streamlined redistricting process that relied upon decades of experienced legal counsel, leveraging technology to provide detailed and accurate maps to our clients.
