Senate Bill 12, passed in the 89th Legislature, included certain prohibitions against diversity, equity and inclusion practices in Texas public schools. By September 30 of this year, public school districts are required to make their first compliance report to TEA, certifying compliance with SB 12. This session will provide common-sense guidance to completing the required compliance certification, including identification of relevant policies and complying with the notice and public hearing requirements.
